Red-light nights, Bangkok daze
Interesting article about the sex scene in Bangkok, from the perspective of a married man unwilling to have sex with any of the prostitutes he interviews.
This caught my eye:
I could not find one woman whom I asked who was willing to have sex without a condom; sex education has been effective in Thailand.
From my personal experience, around 75% of the girls in the go-go bars and beer bars along Soi Cowboy will have sex with a man without a condom. Even in Baccara -- one of the places he went to (it's a great place, by the way ... as he said: "[t]he girls at this venue dress in uniforms similar to Japanese schoolgirls, but the key here is that one article of clothing is missing: the panties.") Simply talking to bar girls reveals nothing about what they'll actually do.
And no, I haven't had sex with any prostitutes without wearing a condom -- I just don't have sex. Getting a condom that fits me in Thailand is a major hassle. One I certainly wasn't expecting, considering all the European & African sex tourists who go there.
Bangkok is a cewl city, ppl. Probably my favorite city in Asia. I recently spent a week with a Thai version of Ally Mac Tyana, the French porn star I use for my Sha'uri de la Asca avatar. She had the crazy hair and everything. And she had great customer service skills. She knew her job well. She was awesome. To-tally awesome.
